Artist walk
Invited by Lichtenberg studios for a two-month stay in Lichtenberg, I took long walks in the area. It was December and we were in the middle of the third pandemic winter. Despite masks and vaccination passes, it felt quite normal, but at the same time a little surreal to be there. The walks turned into a thorough exploration of the area. We had already lived through a long period of restrictions and distance from other people. My curiosity about the people who lived in Lichtenberg and their relationship to their area gave me the idea; I couldn't gather groups of people, but I could produce a sound work by using the intercom. In Gegensprechanlagea series of people describe their thoughts about architecture, everyday life and being new to the area to the viewer on the street.
