Marit Lindberg works with video and performances, where she creates and explores social situations, often linked to a place or a historical / political event. The starting point can be a situation that develops into a story in which place, personal memories, oblivion, the collective or intimate secrets create their own logic. What is not supposed to be shown in public is sometimes displayed. Intimate conversations can be amplifie and secret ailments shouted out over a square. Her works, especially the performances are intensely present through the voices of the participants at the same time as they can be seen as comments on major political and social events.
